Kawila Anukul School under the jurisdiction of the special education
division of the department of general education, Ministry of Education is a
school for mentally retarded children ,Autistic and sub disability. The school
children are boys and girls with learning disabilities Education is provided
from kindergarten to secondary levels.
In 2007 we have students about 404 persons. |
The purpose of education are acceleration and training in the children with
mentally retarded
in daily-life skills ,increasing the educational opportunity for the children with mentally retarded
and to encourage, distribute and inform parents and others to understand and be responsible
to the mentally retarded.

Our school knew the limited of ability and differentiation between each person
therefore we teach follow the basic of educational program which adapt the standard in each
group. There are 8 groups from basic educational program Buddhist era 2544 Ministry of
Education and add in the daily-life skills activities, physiological therapy activities, musical therapy,
artistic therapy and use the Individualized Education
Program : IEP as an instrument for
management the learning to fulfill the development of student by classify student to be 3 groups as
[Group 1] Educable Mentally Retarded (level of IQ. “Between 50-70” )
[Group 2] Trainable
Mentally Retarded (level of IQ. “Below 50” )
[Group 3] Autistic. |

Because of our students are intellectual disabilities and very low development so when they
are graduated the numbers of students who can work outside with social are small group. It means
that their daily-life with social and acceptable of their abilities from social is still very little. Therefore
Kawila Anukul School parents and teachers’ club would like to develop their daily-life activities,
their work with handmade product and we would like to encourage their occupational skills including
income to them. These activities could make them proud themselves, realize their valuable and
happy life in social. So Kawila Anukul School parents and teachers’ club have the project called
“Practicing the occupation for students to develop their skills until they can get income”
this project will be advantage for their future after they graduated from Kawila Anukul School. |
